Education is the Key to Success

By Benjamin Muwanguzi, Senior 4, Kikaaya College School

Dear Mr. Education,

You seem to be the key to our padlocks today. Those who have got you will become masters and prosperous.

If a man wants to have a share in the national cake he should first look for you. Unless I have you, I cannot win votes or participate in politics. The parliament only has men and women who have you.

If a man wants to be heard in public or to be a decision-maker he has to find you. No matter how much I praise God in my church, as long as I don't have you I will never be called to attend any meeting or eat with any Bishop. If I don't have you, I will never be promoted, no matter much service and obedience I render at work.

A girl who does not have you will be married to a poor man and remain a low status girl. She will never be respected by her husband (and others) if she does not know you. Look at men who do not have you they are always in tonta and bars. They put on dirty clothes and are jobless.

How can I get you Mr. Education? Where are you found?

I need you. I want to be a big man, a boss, a master, a politician and a man of high status. At whatever cost I am looking for you.
